Hungariae Regnum

One of my first Historic Maps. First drawn by own hand.

Draw material:

Johannes Blaeu
Hungariae Regnum Copper Printed 1638
psd -file 150 ppi 62x52 cm

Materials:

nibs: Under 0,5 nibs. Very sharp ones are needed most.

Paper: should be 180-300 g cold pressed. Acid free. I found 300 g paper.

Ink: Permanent, water resistant.

Water colours: in Tubes. Permanent.

Brushes: sizes 1 and 5

Map is as accurate replica of the original as possible. Original map was 42x52 cm. I decided to draw it in size 46x57 cm. I Still had problems to draw the smallest details with the nib. Engraving allow you to make very fine objects.
